Tacomasa
About This Spot
Stepping into Tacomasa feels like slipping into a quieter corner of El Segundo where genuine care meets simple, satisfying flavor. The pace here slows to a gentle hum, softened by a tucked-away patio that invites you to linger over casual bites and friendly conversation. It’s the kind of place where the day’s worries seem to fade, replaced by the warm familiarity of tortilla dough gently pressed and cooked fresh to order.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between easygoing and attentive, with a team that quietly navigates the space, ready to offer a helping hand or a thoughtful sample before you commit to your meal. It’s not flashy — there’s no rush or over-the-top fanfare — just an honest connection to authentic taco-making that shines through in every bite. Here, onions aren’t an afterthought; they’re part of the story, folded into tacos that carry the complexity of well-seasoned carne asada or the unexpected brightness of a nopal taco.
The calming vibe is matched by textures and flavors that celebrate traditional Mexican street food, each dish offering a small discovery. Whether you’re savoring a richly layered beef torta or sharing elote that’s just right in its balance of sweetness and spice, Tacomasa feels like a local’s secret haven for comfort through food. The occasional hum of quiet conversations feels as nourishing as the food itself, creating a shared moment of community without needing to say much.
For anyone wandering through El Segundo in search of a rooted, unhurried taste experience — where the joy is found in the craftsmanship and care of every element from tortilla to topping — Tacomasa opens its door with a quiet welcome.

Tacomasa is a solid taco spot with a chill, quiet patio that’s perfect for a casual bite. I got two adobado tacos and an asada mulita—everything was fresh and flavorful, but the asada really stood out. Prices are fair: tacos are just over $4, and the mulitas and vampiros are around $6 and change. Staff was friendly, even with minimal interaction. Not a lot of great taco options in this area, so Tacomasa definitely stands out. Worth checking out if you’re nearby!

5 Star Food 5 Star Service 5 Star Location The Steak, Chicken and Adobado proteins are all AWESOME. Really well seasoned and cooked to be juicy. The Adobado is fantastic and the flavor is deep! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. A bloke called, Robert (Extremely nice and patient), gave me samples of everything before I ordered. Also let me try a bunch of drinks. The Jamaica hibiscus is great....and the one with Cucumber Looking forward to trying more of the menu Service was nice to me and fast with the order....and it tasted awesome

Phenomenal place to order it here some authentic Tijuana tacos as well as a great place to eat in person. Me and my family had just landed in California and needed a place to eat and this place was open and we did not regret it. Customer service is great especially if you get Efrain as a host he even let us take a picture with them with all the little kids as well as gave us hats as we ate 10/10 will come again

I come to LA for work often and always stop at TacoMasa El Segundo. Their food is amazing and the service is great! Efrain served us this time around and he is awesome! Highly recommend!

I had an asada burrito and it was absolutely top tier! Robert was kind enough to let me sample everything beforehand, which really made the experience even better. His service was exceptional, friendly, helpful, and professional. The food was fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back!

This place is great! Im honestly very confused by the Taco snobs saying this place doesn’t taste authentic because when I took the first bite, it tasted just like the tacos I have had in Tijuana. People need to understand that tacos are made differently everywhere and this definitely holds up with the tacos spots in LA. Delicious flavor, great portions and a mix of Mexican, Baja and California flavor. Great lunch spot!

Tasted so authentic that we’ve decided it’s better than our favorite taco trucks. Pleasantly surprised and didn’t expect to find the authentic Mexican flavor for the area it’s in. The pork adobada was beautifully marinated, not salty at all. Tacos were not oily and salsas just hit the spot. Having elote on the menu and unlimited agua frescas just sealed it for me and hubby. Will definitely be back and will be trying the tripa and lengua.
